We absolutely don’t condone violence like this at Wonder Years shows. We are not a band that warrants such a reaction and we hope to never see anything like this again. I invite people from any walk of life to come to see us but there is no need whatsoever to hurt someone else at a show. Most people I know listen to this kind of music because we don’t fit in anywhere else. I know that that’s the case with me at least. Why would you want to hurt someone who has the same interests as you, is excited to see the same bands and who also feels that punk rock and hardcore provide the only environment they feel comfortable in? We should all be friends here. Take care of one another. The rest of the world is fucked enough. Let’s keep this little piece of it that we have for ourselves safe and fun. My dudes in Fireworks said it best. ‘Fuck your world. I’ll take mine.’

TWY were very adamant about this in my interview with them, too. They said multiple times throughout how much they hate that there are always fights at their shows. In fact I think the last line of the interview is something along the lines of, “SERIOUSLY THOUGH, stop fighting at our shows.”
